Handy Site of the Day

In my continuing effort to be super-helpful, here is a great way to keep track of calories and such.

And I don’t want to hear you IE users complaining about the popups. You can download Opera or Mozilla at any time.

  1. Hmmm oddly enough using my supposedly inferior IE6 with the Google toolbar installed I have not had a problem with popups. Any other reasons I should change? πŸ˜›

  2. Mouse gestures and tabbed browsing.

If MS were smart they would work mouse gestures into the OS.

  3. “Are there any other reasons…”

There’s one (and only one) reason to use IE — it’s a hair faster at startup because it’s been integrated into the OS. There are no other reasons. Everything (yes everything) else that IE has, Firefox has (even better than Mozilla, I think) and Firefox is actually standards compliant. Novel concept. πŸ™‚

As for mouse gestures… Kristin: do you actually use them? And for what? I used to have mouse software that would do them, but I turned them off in short order. Am I missing out?

  4. Hmmm figured that question may bring a flood of reasons πŸ˜› Either way I’ll stick to IE for now. Am thinking of buying a Mac G5 though. That’s a big step πŸ˜› May Gates forgive me

  5. I mostly just use the back and forward gestures, and occasionally open a link in a new page. I think they are really handy. I like them better in Opera than Mozilla, though. Mozilla’s require more tweaking than I’m willing to do.
