Sounds a lot like the kind of thing I hear in grocery stores when parents won’t buy their kid a candy bar.
In this case, I think the delivery kills the message, and in certain cases, it sounds like he’s trying to find as many things to get worked up about as possible, as opposed to not getting worked up at all and just making a case. I mean, griping about shutting down a program that nobody was ever entitled to in the first place? Geez.
