I’m no fan of high gas prices, but if every time the price goes up we dip into our reserve it’s not going to be there when we really need it. It’s for e-merg-encies, not to keep your billfold comfortably fat. Unless there’s a national crisis don’t even bring it up, okay? Thanks.

  1. From what I understand, the government is pretty good about restocking when prices start falling again.

  2. I’m sure they are. Hopefully prices will start falling again. But the prices aren’t even that high adjusted for inflation. Wait for an embargo or something to break into the reserve.

  3. I agree. We have the tendency to get a little whiny when gas prices go up a bit (this from someone who takes great pride in never having paid more than $2/gal).
