Al Jazeera is going to start broadcasting in English. Good idea. Assuming the translations are accurate of course.

    You realize, of course, that Al Jazeera is NOT very popular in the Arab world either, right? They are censured by Arab countries almost more than non-Arab countries.

    A lot of things aren’t popular in the Arab world. I still think it’s a good idea to broadcast in English.

    I just think it’s funny that we automatically assume they are broadcasting Arab propaganda, when they are actually being actively suppressed by Arab countries.

    “Censored by the government” = “Arab propoganda”

    You broadcast only what they tell you to broadcast. That’s the definition of propoganda.
