The aftermath: My electricty is still out. Good thing the sun comes up at 4:00am and doesn’t go down until after 9:00pm. All those hurricane lamps I have finally came in handy. My driveway has pine branches all over it, which will, in a couple days, annoy my neighbors, and one of my pear trees is no longer perpendicular. I thought for sure one of those last big gusts would take the tree, the arbor, and the other tree out, but they stood firm. And by firm I mean leaned over 45 degrees, but didn’t fall. Phew.
