National Review has their summer reading lists out, so naturally I have to let you know what I want to read this summer. In no particular order:
1. Cryptonomicon. by Neal Stephenson. The Diamond Age : Or, a Young Lady’s Illustrated Primer, which I recently finished, was fantastic.
2. On the Good Life by Cicero. Trying to fill in the gaps in my education.
3. A History of Christianity by Paul Johnson. I really liked his A History of the American People.
4. Temple of the Winds by Terry Goodkind. Stupid book three ends right as the war is revving up. Must find out how it ends.
5. In the Ocean of the Night by Gregory Benford. Hopefully this will be good. I’ve been looking for a good science fiction series.
6. Something on Baroque Art.
I’m sure there will be others, but that’s all I got so far.
