Have they no parents?

I don’t know why the school thinks it is any of their business what students post online.

  1. “Where’s the parents?!?!” is always my first question on stuff like this.

The problem with MySpace is the anonomity (spelling WAY off). I, personally, found no issues in finding my kid on the thing. But, then again, I knew what to look for and I “do the internet” all day. However, I can see where most parents wouldn’t know how and where to look for their children on that thing.

Maybe a good compromise for them is to buy their kid a domain name and set some serious ground rules with some serious consequences for breaking those.

  2. I wouldn’t have a problem with the school sending some sort of note to parents explaining the dangers and how to google their kids name even. But that policy goes too far.
