That's all I need

My google-fu is weak today. All I want is a dorky little fan for my video card. I want to spend, like, $5. I don’t need a ducted watercooled monstrostity for $50. Is that too much to ask? Apparently so.

And what’s with the fan sounding like it’s grinding a knife edge after only 6 months, dear Chaintech?

UPDATE: In other news, I got a new mouse. Can you tell?

Further UPDATE: Can someone explain, in English, why time is related to the speed of light.

  1. Your mousing seemed much faster and more accurate…

Can you expound on your speed of light question? The speed of light allows the distance light travelled over a particular time period to be calculated… time is related because you need to know the period the light has travelled in order to calculate the distance… but I am assuming you knew that… looking for something deeper? 🙂

  2. It’s just a certain speed, why does time go all wonky at that speed and not at, say, mach speeds?

  3. Ah, I see what you mean (I think). First, it is important to note that it is not just time that goes wonky. Distance goes equally wonky. The “simple” answer is that because Einstein’s theories of relativity require it to be that. The real question (which I haven’t even addressed) of why 300,000m/s, I would say, is a fundamental question. It’s like asking why a proton has as much mass as it does. Maybe someone has a better answer for you but this is actually one that I have thought about. Why not 400,000m/s? I have no idea and I kinda doubt anyone really knows. I could be wrong.

Sorry, this was a VERY long NON-answer. 🙂

  4. As long as no one knows, that’s okay then.

You did manage to grasp my fundamental question, which is notable given my communication skills.

  5. Well that was really my goal. I don’t really care about physics.

    Ok, I don’t know what that meant…

  6. 🙂

Okay, why does it hate my smiley? Stupid program.
