Not many…and that is the point. It is far more profitable for airlines to sell their cargo space to shipping agents (such as FedEx, USPS, etc) than to give it away for free to passengers. Thus, they will either be making top dollar when passengers have to pay for their bag…or a pretty good amount when they sell their space to another company for shipping. Either way they win. I hate the airlines. Pretty soon they’ll be stacking stuff under our feet.
