Amazon has video on demand now. I’m having a tough time seeing why I would want to pay 10 bucks to watch a movie on my computer. Or pay $2-$4 to rent it on my computer.
Other than Netflix is slow getting stuff up to watch instantly and I MUST WATCH IT NOW, of course.
Plus, it’s DRM’d so I can only put it on two other devices.
Obviously you need to get yourself a media center pc. Internet/computer hooked up to your tv makes these kinda of things enjoyable.
My compy is hooked up to my tv and I watch plenty of stuff on it. Netflix, ripped stuff, etc. Amazon’s price is pretty steep for DRM’d media.
I realize we need to go through with the movie companies all the same steps we went through with the music companies so they get used to the idea before they loosen up, drop the prices to something reasonable and let us do what we want with stuff we buy but Amazon did so well with their mp3 store this is kinda disappointing.
