Anyone else notice that Amazon’s Prime 2-day shipping is almost never 2 days anymore? Since October only one of the five orders has actually gotten to me in 2 days. It’s at least 3 days and sometimes up to 5 days if weekend is involved. What’s up with that?

Don’t get me started.
In my case, most of the problems happened when DHL was used. They’re going out of business (in the US), though, so they won’t be an option for Amazon any longer.
Oh, and it’s only 2 business days. Only FedEx and the USPS deliver on Saturdays (and FedEx charges a ton for this). USPS is the only carrier who claims to deliver to Sundays (with Express Mail); and let me emphasize *claims*, as my experience with Express Mail has been pretty bad.
I get the weekend thing but they didn’t use to be this slow though, regardless. They toss in a day for handling now if they feel like it. Annoying.
The cutoff for same-day shipping is something like noon, Pacific; I think it’s only guaranteed, though, if we display the fast-track messaging (“Get it tomorrow/Monday if you order within the next 3.257 seconds!”).
That said, if you prime something and it doesn’t arrive in two business days, raise a stink about it and threaten to cancel your prime membership (via your credit card, if you need to). Don’t accept the standard, “Oh, if you wait an extra day, it’ll probably show up,” answer — that’s not what you’re paying Amazon $80 for!
Yes, I have a real beef with this, especially since I pay for prime myself; and, alas, I can’t do anything about it myself (customer complaints are taken more seriously than employee complaints, even if the employees are customers).
