I’m kind of a careless slob guy so I have pioneered many situations of unrefrigerated food storage followed by brave consumption of that food and I can say that I frequently keep yogurt unrefrigerated for over a week at a time.
Yogurt is a holdover from a time when there were no refrigerators, it’s meant to keep, that’s kind of the whole point of it. From biology class: no creature can live off of it’s own wastes.
And yogurt is one big puddle of bacteria waste.
I know intellectually that they carry yogurt through the desert in yak skins, but when it comes from the dairy case, I like for it to say “Keep Refrigerated”. That didn’t stop me from eating it after it had been sitting out all day though.
